How we score

Six dimensions, each weighted by how much it matters to long-term financial resilience for Indian households. Emergency fund and debt burden carry the most weight — get those right and everything else has time to compound.

  • Emergency fund (15%) — months of expenses you could cover without income.
  • Debt burden (20%) — your EMI as a share of take-home (FOIR).
  • Savings rate (20%) — monthly SIP as a share of income.
  • Insurance cover (15%) — term life (15× income rule) + health cover.
  • Invested wealth (15%) — wealth-to-income ratio benchmarked against your age.
  • Retirement readiness (15%) — projected corpus vs corpus needed.
